Research Help

Creating Journal Alerts

Creating an alert can save time when conducting research. Once the alert is set up, when a new article or journal related to the selected topic is generated, a notification will be sent out. E-mail alerts can go to multiple destinations, and are user customized (destination, duration and frequency).

Creating a Journal Alert

Gale:

Use the “Create Journal Alert” link. On the next screen enter the email address you would like the alert delivered to, select the frequency and format and click “Submit”.

You should receive confirmation of your newly created Journal Alert via Email.

Creating Subject Alerts

It is possible to run an alert for a specific subject. Once you have run a search that provides relevant results, create the alert.

  1. Run a search and click the Search Alert link at the top of the screen.

  1. Enter an email address you would like the alert sent to, select the frequency, format and click Submit.
